I have published several popular articles on star formation in spiral galaxies. A quite complete summary can be found in the September 1999 issue of Investigación y Ciencia, the Spanish version of Scientific American. This paper has been translated to the Scientific American edition of several countries (for example, in Germany is the September 2000 issue of Spektrum der Wissenschaft).
